Origins of the Ropolo Family

With all the data found, we can say that the Ropolo Family in Argentina was originates by year 1870, in the Santa Fe's province in Felicia with passages by Franck and Pilar.

Those which originated the first Ropolo Families, in Argentina, were Lorenzo Ropolo and Vicente Cipriano Ropolo father and son respectively.
Soon they follow the spouses Mateo Ropolo and Anna Fornero, with its children Margarita and Pietro, who entered the country in 1883 and they took root in La Francia of the Cordoba´s Province.
All these immigrants were born in Pancalieri, locality that is located to 30 km to the south of the Torino city, in the province of the same name in the limits with the Cuneo province, on the Po river, in the Piedmont region.
Around year 1900 take root in Carrilobo of the Cordoba's Province, Domingo Ropolo who gave origin to families who are been in other localities of the province.

The first data, of which the Ropolo that took root in Pancalieri appears in the census of the 1793, and are 3 different familiar nuclei. One of them emigrated of Portula, that is a locality of another part of Piedmont, near the cities of Biella and Vercelli. These Ropolos were not farmers were weavers according to figure in the registries of the nonagrarian activities of Pancalieri of year 1850. In Pancalieri there were vast cultures of hemp that served to make the cords of the boats (Pancalieri was the official supplier of the navy of the kingdom of Cerdeņa, so what the cords were called pancalere)
What makes evident that the Ropolo has arrived at Pancalieri with the construction of the first factory (spinning mill to weave the fabric and the silk) that I settle between the originating years 1760-70 and of the zone of Biella. Where one locality is called Roppolo from where the Ropolo last name comes.
